JOHOR-SINGAPORE CAUSEWAY

"Is a 1.056 kilometres (1 mile) causeway consisting of a combined railway and motorway bridge that links the city of Johor Bahru in Malaysia across the Straits of Johor to the district's and town of Woodlands in Singapore. Historically, it was the only land connection between the two countries until the opening of the Tuas Second Link in 1998."

Buit in 1924, the causeway has a big impact for the urbanisation of the city. Effecting industries like locals shops and markets, and offering new opportunities for both countries for more exchange and connection.
